Latest Updates

Several news organisations including the BBC and Al Jazeera ran pieces about the Kayan in Mae Hong Son recently. You can find links to some of the articles here.

One of the Kayan featured in many of the articles mentioned above, is Mu Lo (Zember) who lives in the long-neck village of Nai Soi. She is now receiving a lot of attention from the press, but not wanting the facts to be either distorted or truncated she has written her own story and asked us to publish it here.

Ma Lo, who moved to Huay Pu Keng last year, has also updated her autobiography.

Both Ma Lo and Zember appear on 60 Minute feature by New Zealand station TV3. It can be viewed on their website.

Elsewhere the site has been reorganised to allow useful information to be found more easily. There is also a new FAQ up; if you have any questions about the Kayan people or Huay Pu Keng  e-mail us .
